7-7-09 Hello, this is my personal page about my office and staff. Once again, I am Chairman of our Ob-Gyn Department at Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton. (Previously Trinity Medical Center). This is my fourth year as Chairman. It is interesting to be involved in the inner workings of a major community hospital. We really have a great staff and administration here. Big changes have obviously come to Trinity Medical Center; we are now Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton (BMCC). Many of the physicians here are invested in the hospital and we have influence over the decisions here. I invested to be involved in the planning of our facility's future! Call me if you have any issues. We hope to serve the needs of our surrounding community, from Lewisville to The Colony, Farmers Branch to Plano and Flower Mound. Right top is my nursing assistant Misty Castillo, she just got married on July 4th. It was a beautiful wedding. She came to me over three years ago with years of Ob-Gyn experience. She is a charming young woman whom I know you will love. The picture to the right and below is me as a budding young doctor in 1987. This may be my first little bloom that I delivered in Carrollton. After all the lives I have helped into this world, this is the first picture in my photo book of pictures my patients took and gave to me. The pictures below are of my "Amazon Orchid" that has been in my office for twenty years and blooms about every three or four years and it bloomed again this spring. This is a good sign for my practice's fertility. Nickie is still my office manager of more than three years. She will be my wife and advisor of 33 years on August 13, 2009. I have a family practice. My receptionist, Francis, has now been with me for more than 5 years, she speaks and writes Spanish and is helping me with my hobby of learning the language fluently. For those of you who know my daughters, Erin graduated Austin College with a Master of Arts in Teaching and Rebecca is a senior at UNT in the Business school. I am now doing laparoscopic hysterectomies. Home the next day and back to your life in a week with only four little tummy scars. It is similar to the way gall bladder surgery is done now. This is not for everyone, but if you are a candidate, it's an amazing surgery! Testimonial from Felisha C. "I went back to the office only a week after my hysterectomy. I couldn't believe it and neither could those around me!" I am also doing in-office surgeries: NovaSure endometrial ablations and Essures (a sterilization done with plugs put in the tube from inside the uterus). Formally a hospital procedure, now done for just a co-payment! This is now the fourteenth installment of this page. I redecorated my office decor and my new lobby has a wood floor and wool Asian rugs. I have new wall to wall carpet in my back office and fresh paint all around. Friends and patients, I hope you enjoy my Internet efforts. I do this site myself. Google or Yahoo "Ob-Gyn Carrollton Tx". For my solo practice to have such visibility is remarkable. I must have favor. Page six of this site has the articles I wrote for the Metrocrest News, my newsletter and all of my handouts, as well as links to various organizations. The first thing I wrote about medicine is way down below. I wrote this in fourth grade in 1964 and Mom saved it! God bless and see you soon. |
